ANGEL TREE - Prison Fellowship 2016
Westminster Pres will participate with Prison Fellowship once again to serve children of incarcerated parents through the Angel Tree Project.
Westminster will serve 7 children this Christmas.
Angel Tree personnel connect with incarcerated parents, who make gift suggestions for their children. Volunteers, like us, then purchase a gift and deliver it to the children at Christmas, in the name of their parent The gift tag bears a personal message from the parent.
Angel Tree attempts to provide gifts to children who often don't receive many gifts, and even more importantly, to keep families connected.

Westminster helps support these two community services:
HOSPITALITY CENTER at the Elmira Correctional Facility, This interfaith effort provides a comfortable place for visitors to wait. Many travel long distances by bus to visit their incarcerated loved ones. The center provides warm, dry, shelter, seating, coffee, information, assistance with necessary visitation forms, and even a supply of extra clothing in case visitors aren't dressed according to visitation policy.
The Center is supported by donations and volunteers, and is in need of both.
