WILDLIFE DEFENDERS, a program of Bridges for Brain Injury, visited Westminster on March 12, 2017. The presenters are people who are recovering from, or learning to overcome, traumatic brain injury or other debilitating circumstances.
Practicing and honing speaking skills, improving social skills, and learning about the animals is part of the healing therapy of Wildlife Defenders. Traveling to speak to various groups and agencies spreads awareness and encourages preservation of the wildlife on our planet. Thank you, Wildlife Defenders!

THE FAITH IN PLAIN ENGLISH
This column exists to help take the mystery out of "Christian-ese" and to make the faith a little more understandable and a little less intimidating.
"well, that's the gospel truth!"
"the four gospels"
"spread the gospel!"
Everyone's probably heard the word "gospel" . How do you define it?
Origin: "Gospel" comes from the Anglo-Saxon word "godspell" - literally means "good news"
The "Gospel of Jesus Christ" - This is the good news that Jesus Christ gives the world, the good news of forgiveness and reconciliation with God through the giving of Christ's life.
"The Gospel of Matthew" - This is a record of Christ's life and teachings, "the good news", as seen through the eyes of Matthew.
Mark, Luke and John also recorded
their individual accounts of Jesus' life and teachings. The four accounts are referred to as "the four gospels" .They are the first four books in the New Testament of the Bible.
The word "gospel" is often used to refer to an infallible, unquestionable truth, even outside a religious context. "He regarded the theory of Stonehenge as scientific gospel."
Jesus said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Matthew 16:15 NIV
